Police in York County this week charged a man with assault and making threats after he grabbed a woman and said he was going to kill her, according to an affidavit of probable cause. Charles Knokey, 79, forcefully grabbed the woman’s arms and wrists while she cared for him, police said. While grabbing the victim, Knokey told her he was going to kill her and she was not going to make it out of the house. She told investigators Knokey is “crazy” and “very strong.”Police also said Knokey had access to multiple firearms during the incident. Knokey is charged with terroristic threats and simple assault, two first-degree misdemeanors.
