Kazakhstan has agreed to purchase 300 freight locomotives to the tune of $4.2 billion; Uzbekistan will buy at least 14 Boeing jets, in a deal said to be valued at $8 billion. A reported $12.2 billion in deals have been signed with U.S. companies by Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The agreement, described by Wabtec as a multi-year deal, is valued at $4.2 billion. (Trump had spoken the day before with the president of Uzbekistan.) There is immense risk of corruption with deals this huge, alongside more mundane risks such as delays in delivery and payment.
