On Wednesday 24 September 2025 (at 8am to be precise), the self-styled Green Hut Run Club — a group of 10 London black cab drivers — will start out from the cabmen's shelter at Warwick Avenue, embarking on a 16-mile run that passes all 13 of the remaining green taxi driver's shelters. The aim of the run is to raise £100k towards the upkeep of the shelters — colourful markers of London's heritage, past and present.
