News Headline -The Borno State Hajj Commission has convened an important meeting to deliberate on refund matters concerning pilgrims who participated in the 2022, 2023, and 2024 hajj exercises. Chairman of the commission, Prof. Yakubu Yunusa Musa, stated that all Borno pilgrims entitled to refunds from the years under review will be duly considered. The commission stated that it has already commenced reconciliation of accounts for the three hajj operations in order to determine accurate refund amounts. A verification process will also be conducted to authenticate pilgrims’ details, including payment receipts, passport data pages, and bank account information. The executive secretary, permanent members, commissioners, directors, management staff of the commission, and local government fare collectors all commended the proactive steps of the chairman.
