My idea was simple: glue LED strips around the sole of a pair of running shoes and have some kind of beat detection to make them flash to music. I installed connectors on the shoes so I could easily disconnect the cables when I wanted to take the shoes off, and glued the strips to the shoes using a hot glue gun. The hot glue wasn't strong enough, and after a few hours of dancing, the LED strips started coming off the shoes.
