Around the same time, my best friend got internet access at home through AOL. As silly as it might sound, through online chats and by making friends online, I also started to develop some much needed social skills and a better idea of what normal, healthy human interactions could look like. Through the internet, I learned various computer maintenance skills, eventually buying new hardware and upgrading our home computer.
