Thousands respond to fire service review consultationThe proposals include an option to restore the second appliance at Hamilton fire stationView Image (Image: West Lothian Courier)More than 3500 responses were submitted to the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) consultation on nationwide proposals which include options either to withdraw Hamilton fire station’s second appliance or to restore it on a dayshift basis.
Fire service officials praised the “significant level of engagement” with the proposals, and say the views expressed will be taken into consideration ahead of recommendations being presented to the SFRS board in December.
