Jobs.ie
According to the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment Acts, 1973 – 2001, either an employee or employer looking to terminate a contract of employment, must provide the other party with a specific notice period. If you have worked at a company for 10-15 years, for example, your company is legally obligated to provide six weeks’ notice if it intends to terminate your contract. Once you sign the contract of employment, you are legally obligated to fulfil its terms, including working for the full length of your notice period.
