Starship was on a poor roll until recently, having exploded more often than not during its 2025 test flights. But after the rocket's recent successful trip to space and safe return to Earth's (ocean) surface, Musk appears buoyant about its future. With Block 3 Starship set to begin flying in early 2026, Musk made major claims about its potential. These changes should increase thrust substantially, enough to get up to 200 tons into orbit eventually. SpaceX also recently announced upgrades to its launch facilities to allow for greater on-site fuel production and storage.
