Credit: Eco Wave PowerA company called Eco Wave Power has installed the first working wave power generator in the United States. Wave power is continuous, meaning it operates day and night, regardless of seasons. Off-shore wave energy has existed for some time, but its location makes maintenance and power delivery difficult. Additionally, offshore wave power can be dangerous for local boaters and fishermen—or freeze them out of an area entirely. Coastal wave power, on the other hand, can extract energy from places that people already avoid.
