The bill contains a number of requirements that AI service providers will have to meet, or be in breach of the law. It's unclear how much this would regulate AI that could be used in this way, but is primarily intended for other purposes. That could open AI firms up to liability whenever their AI is adjacent to a tragedy, especially involving young people. Now, people are increasingly wondering whether an inability to enforce control should push us to abandon the modern AI chatbot, instead.
