Credit: MetaA leaked video has revealed that Meta's upcoming smart glasses, which are expected to debut at the company's Meta Connect event this week, will consist of yet another collaboration with the Ray-Ban brand. The unlisted clip, which was shared via Meta's YouTube channel and has since been removed, shows the device in action alongside the company's current Ray-Ban Meta glasses, the newer Oakley Meta HSTN glasses, the rumored Oakley Meta Sphaera glasses with eye protection and a centered camera, and its Ray-Ban Meta Display glasses, which use Meta's wristband technology for control. First spotted by UploadVR, the video shows a fixed display visible only to the right eye, with functions such as Meta AI queries and on-foot navigation. Reports say the glasses will start at around $800 and weigh 70 grams, heavier than the standard Ray-Ban Meta glasses at 50 grams. EssilorLuxottica, owner of Ray-Ban and Oakley, initially opposed a bulkier design release under its name.
