Credit: Nvidia/IntelIn a landmark deal that feels like a "cats and dogs living together, mass hysteria" moment, Intel and Nvidia have inked an agreement to begin producing PC products and new AI infrastructure—together. The deal will see Nvidia purchase $5 billion of Intel stock, albeit once it has received regulatory approval. In this latest move, Nvidia will help keep Intel afloat while planning new SoC designs incorporating Intel CPU cores with Nvidia GPU chiplets. Alongside consumer products, the two companies seem poised to collaborate on data center design and components. With both companies pushing for grander global data center endeavours, they'll want to ensure as much of their hardware ends up in them as possible.
