Credit: Apple (via Tom's Guide)The newly announced iPhone Air has taken the crown as the thinnest iPhone ever made, measuring just 5.6 millimeters at its slimmest point.
In a video shared with Tom's Guide, Apple showed the iPhone Air being subjected to a machine that applied 130 pounds of pressure to the center of the device.
Apple claims the iPhone Air meets and exceeds its bend strength standards and calls it the most durable iPhone yet.
Titanium has already been introduced and taken away from other recent iPhone models, but for the iPhone Air, this stronger material is particularly vital.
The iPhone 17 lineup and iPhone Air also use Apple's new Ceramic Shield 2 glass, which the brand claims is three times as scratch-resistant as the iPhone 16 series.
