An over-the-network update rolled out this week, introducing "promotions and curated advertisements" to Family Hub fridge owners' kitchens. Family Hub fridge models currently start at $1,800 and max out at an eye-popping $3,500. Samsung has updated its Terms of Service and Privacy Notice to accommodate the ad pilot, Android Authority reports. According to Samsung, ads on the Cover Screen can be dismissed once viewed, meaning that specific ad will not appear again during a particular campaign.
