Although performance does degrade using the newer model without appropriate AI accelerators, image quality is notably improved, opening up new options for gamers running older AMD cards. To make this mod work, gamers needed to run an older AMD Radeon driver (23.9.1) on their cards, but then it works on both Linux and Windows. FSR4 was the first time it closed ranks, but there is talk of the future Redstone update expanding compatibility.
