I simply do not understand why these unhappy employees cite the revenue of their employer as a reason for increased pay. Their pay is based on the VALUE of their labor to their employer. The amount of money a cashier sees cross her window, has no bearing on her value as an employee, if it did, bank tellers would be very highly paid. I also do not understand their beef with what a new employee makes. They all do the same job, why should the salary of a long-term housekeeper or cashier be significantly higher than a new hire?
