It would be interesting to know how many of these firefighters work at another job during their 72 hours rest and recovery time between shifts? Mr. Soper, I would imagine that your readers would be interested in the answer to that question. another question would be, if the 24 on 72 off shift works so well for the firefighters, do you suppose ANY public official would support the same shift for its police officers? Or for that matter, how effective would a reporter be near the end of a 24 hour shift?
