I have been attending the OC car for the last 20 years. In all the 20 years that I have been attending I have never once registered my car. Because of the year of my car it has never been eligible for registration (1985). Even though I can not register my car for the event, I will still spend an average of $400.00 to $500.00 dollars for the few days that I am there. To get my point, it makes mo since what so ever to penalize myself and others alike because we don't participate in the organized shows. there are just as many unregistered participants as there registered. So it makes no since that you would not offer parking permits to everyone. Every year more and more people talk about not coming to OC anymore, and I can understand why. If I am forced to park my truck and trailer at some designated parking lot that's un protected, and will most likely be charged some ridiculous amount of money (more than the permit I'm sure) I most likely not attend anymore. Who will be held responsible for stolen or damaged property at these designated parking lots? . Will there be security provided, these are all questions that I'm sure most people will ask.
