We live in a tough time. Jobs are hard to find especially if one is over 60 yrs. old. There are many Circumstances which put people in the need to earn a little more. Doing what they love whether it be music or paintings or magic acts or being a living monument is a means to help them to live a little better life. The majority of the street performers are honest hardworking people. Have a heart ! I've never seen any of them drunk or using profanity & I know maybe some have, but not I. I appreciate Ocean City. I respect the police & town officials who have given me the freedom to play my music now for 44 yrs. And by the way, I Have a full time job If you want to complain about something , complain about the hundreds of Immigrants who sleep free under the Pier especially on weekends and threaten anyone who happens to pass by.
