i had made this suggestion before to Public Works- From the pier to 3rd St. OCDC should operate a shuttle service from the boardwalk to the water--its too far for people to walk with strollers, coolers-- etc- even with the walkways. People like me ( I am 74) both knees replaced --its very difficult to walk the sand and the shuttle would be a Godsend to ALL who enjoy the beach. No doubt the vehicles are available in storage-- and summer jobs for people. One shuttle at each street.l
