January 2, 1916 - August 29, 2025In loving memory ~After a long and adventurous life, Ella passed away quietly at the age of 109. Born in London during the First World War, Ella was the youngest of five children born to Scottish parents. She studied piano throughout her young life, earning her teaching certificate from the Royal Academy of Music in 1939. As a young woman, Ella married Fritz Stein, a doctor from Czechoslovakia, who sadly died just a few years later while they were living in Prague. At the age of 92, Ella moved to Cedar Isle Farm in Agassiz where she lived, relatively independently, until she needed more care at the age of 107.
