The 2025 Iowa School Performance Profile has been released, and Highland Community School District overall has received a high-performing rating for the year. The Highland High School also received a high-performing rating for the year, while the elementary and middle schools received commendable ratings. At the high school level, over 90% of Highland High School students were receiving some form of college credit, well above the state average of 70%. Highland High School students had 76.7% math proficiency, 78.6% ELA proficiency and 71.1% science proficiency. At the middle school level, students had 72% math proficiency, 79.7% ELA proficiency, and 68.4% science proficiency.
