The horror film Weapons starring Julia Garner and Josh Brolin, was the No.
1 movie in North America at the box office, earning $42.5 million in its debut weekend.
The film, directed by Zach Cregger, also had a $71.8M global opening – exceeding expectations of the film’s performance.
Weapons also stars Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Benedict Wong and Amy Madigan.
9 with $2.6 million and Sketch rounding out the Top 10 with $2.5 million.
