(DEM), Slovenia’s largest renewable energy producer, has selected international technology group ANDRITZ to carry out a full refurbishment of the Formin hydropower plant. ANDRITZ said the order value is in the high double-digit million-euro range and will be booked in the company’s third-quarter 2025 results. Formin, a run-of-river plant commissioned more than 45 years ago, has a current capacity of 116MW. DEM operates a fleet of plants with nearly 600 MW of installed capacity, producing around 2,800 GWh annually – about one-quarter of Slovenia’s electricity. This is the first major project between DEM and ANDRITZ.
