The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards will make its debut on CBS for the first time this year, hosted by LL Cool J live coast-to-coast from New York’s UBS Arena Sunday, September 7th at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT. The broadcast will also be simulcast on MTV and streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S. Per a press release, LL Cool J previously received the prestigious ‘Video Vanguard Award’ and he hosted the award ceremony opposite Nicki Minaj and Jack Harlow back in 2022. Nominees for the VMAs were announced earlier this month, with Lady Gaga leading with 12. Bruno Mars received 11 nods, while Kendrick Lamar is up for 10 awards, and Blackpink’s Rose and Sabrina Carpenter each earned eight nominations.
