Baahubali, Lokah, and the films that refuse to end

Now, films promise new beginnings. The “Universe” films, unlike the sequel-prequel films, have a different cast of characters and actors that cross into each other’s films as cameos. The post-credits sequencePart of the arsenal of these universe films is the post-credits sequence, borrowed from the MCU, used to build momentum for subsequent films. But more often than not, they languish in the aftermath of films that they do not impact in any significant way. The reason to return to a film’s world cannot be a clip tacked on as an afterthought.
