The U.S. House of Representatives on Sept. 15 approved two bipartisan bills led by U.S. Rep. Juan Ciscomani (R-AZ) that aim to bolster and expand resources for United States military veterans. “The passage of these two bipartisan bills is a meaningful step forward in delivering results for our veterans — whether by improving oversight of the VA’s Readiness and Employment program or by ensuring timely access to benefits for rural veterans,” said Rep. Ciscomani, who serves on the U.S. House Veterans’ Affairs Committee. “I am proud to work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to advance solutions that honor the service and sacrifice of our nation’s heroes.”The House passed the Veterans Readiness and Employment Program Integrity Act, H.R. 3579 would provide oversight over the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA’s) Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) program, which offers job training and counseling to veterans with service-connected disabilities. 3951, which Rep.
