Specsavers founders Doug and Dame Mary Perkins honoured Suresh Mahandru, one of five in the UK, with a medal for clinic excellence. Mr Perkins said: "Specsavers’ mission is to change lives through better sight and hearing. Suresh registered as an optometrist in 2003 and has worked in various settings including hospital practice and in a private clinic conducting elective refractive correction treatments. Mr Suresh said: "I became a partner in Specsavers Bicester in 2018, and this has allowed me to run a busy practice alongside providing a glaucoma clinic one day a week at a Newmedica hospital." He added: "I’m proud that Specsavers Bicester is a key part of the neighbourhood health service.
