Dawn Turner wants to make sure veterans like her late son, Robert Homans, of Worcester, do not slip through the net. Mr Homans, 35, who completed two tours of Afghanistan, serving as a bombardier with the Royal Horse Artillery, died in Worcester on August 22. Veterans, she says, need access to mental health support and housing, and help must be available no matter who is in Government and have cross-party political support to succeed. Mr Homans is survived by his mother, Dawn Turner, his siblings Scott, Jade, Emily and Jason and stepdad, Paul Taylor. Family and friends have been asked to muster at The Vale Crematorium at 10am on September 24 for Mr Homans' funeral.
