The milestone will be marked at Worcester Shrub Hill Station on Sunday, October 5, including the restoration of a historic nameplate. The station dates from 1850, but the present station building was designed by Edward Wilson and built in 1865. "The nameplate will complement the Worcester Shrub Hill 150 totem which was presented to Shrub Hill in October 2000 to mark the 150th anniversary." The late former poet laureate Sir John Betjeman headed an investigation into Shrub Hill the same year on behalf of the Victorian Society because of the outcry.
