Air source heat pumpAn application has been submitted for the installation of an air source heat pump and a bee hotel at 26 Carn Yr Ebol. The heat pump is designed to extract heat from the outside air and transfer it indoors, even in sub-zero temperatures. This technology is around four times more efficient than traditional gas boilers and can reduce carbon emissions by up to 75 per cent. A typical terrace house can cut its CO2 emissions by 1.5 tons per year by switching from a gas boiler to an air source heat pump. Solar panelsAn application has been lodged to install 99 solar panels on the roof of Unit 15, Espex Batteries, located on the Atlantic Trading Estate.
