The plant, located at Berth 31 on Wimborne Road in Barry, has attracted complaints over air quality and health concerns linked to dust emissions. Ms Greenfield said the facility has been operating for some time and has become a persistent source of dust pollution. "There should be a thorough air quality assessment to see levels of pollution." Ms Greenfield raised concerns that air quality data used by developers was drawn from quarry sites rather than comparable facilities. Barry Greens have also objected to the facility, citing dust, long operating hours, and risks of fire and flooding.
