Business energy specialists, Utility Bidder, conducted the study examining factors such as GDP, business survival rates, transport connectivity, and office efficiency ratings to pinpoint the best and worst areas in Wales for starting a business. The findings placed Pembrokeshire fourth on the list for the lowest five-year business survival rate, at just 29 per cent. Caerphilly topped the list with a 22.4 per cent survival rate, closely followed by Rhondda Cynon Taf at 22.5 per cent, and Newport at 24.7 per cent. Pembrokeshire was joined in the top five by Swansea, which came in fifth with a 29.7 per cent business survival rate. Despite this, Wrexham has a 42.7 per cent five-year business survival rate.
