On 18 September 2025, the Supreme Court sentenced 31 year-old security guard Chatmongkol Wanlee or “Boss” on lese majeste. The Appeals Court found Boss guilty and sentenced him to three years in prison. Because it considered Boss’s testimony useful, the sentence was reduced by one-quarter, meaning Boss was given 2 years and 3 months, without parole. The case originated from a royalist snitch complaint to police in Chiang Rai by Nattawat Chonphakdi, the administrator of the Srisuriyothai Facebook page. Boss filed an appeal with the Supreme Court.
