I still think face-to-face interactions are the best because they help you understand that you are dealing with a normal person instead of some “personality”. They may make money and have lots of admirers, but in the process they have bound themselves to a life of role-playing, of having to keep up their persona the whole time. No matter what others think is best for an Emacs setup, you do the thing that works for you and that is all that matters.
