Vancouver Rise FC fell 3-0 to Ottawa Rapid Sept. 20 at Swangard StadiumThe Ottawa Rapid FC defeated the Vancouver Rise FC on Saturday (Sept. 20) and clinched its spot in the Northern Super League (NSL) playoffs. "It was a frustrating afternoon at Swangard Stadium on Saturday, as Vancouver Rise FC lost 3-0 to Ottawa Rapid FC despite dominating a majority of the match," noted a Rise FC press release Saturday. AFC is currently in first place in the NSL with 42 points, followed by Ottawa Rapid with 36, Montreal Roses FC with 35 and Rise FC with 32. Vancouver Rise are part of Canada's first professional women's soccer league, the Northern Super League. The other clubs are Calgary Wild FC, Halifax Tides FC, Montréal Roses, Ottawa Rapid FC and AFC Toronto.
