Appalachian’s Goodnight Family Department of Sustainable Development has partnered with the university’s Food Services to provide local food from its Teaching and Research Farm in Ashe County to campus dining halls and markets. Farm-Fresh Food For Appalachian State Students The University Network Students at Appalachian State University can now enjoy sustainably-produced and locally-grown meat, eggs, produce, and herbs without having to leave campus, thanks to a new farm-to-table initiative. Campus Dining is owned and operated by Appalachian State University and offers dining services tailored to the campus community’s specific needs.
