It has completed the work as part of the government’s Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund (SHF) Wave 3, which aims to improve the energy efficiency of social housing in England. The authority said it has become the first council in London to finish this phase of upgrades. The scheme is designed to bring homes up to at least an energy performance certificate rating of band C by 2035, where feasible. "The upgrades not only improve the quality of life for our residents, but also move us closer to our net zero goals." So far, 21 properties have benefited from external wall insulation, loft insulation, and ventilation improvements.
