A planning application has been submitted by KMDS Designs, on behalf of applicant Eagles Nest UK, to open a guided learning and educational centre for children aged five to 16 in Petersfield Avenue. The centre would replace dog groomers Doggie Delights - which now operates from a branch in The Arcade, Farnham Road - and consist of two classrooms and a communal hallway. Staggered start times are also proposed for the lessons in order to reduce noise, as well as soundproofed classrooms. According to the planning statement, there is a "rising demand for tutoring and extra-curricular learning". However, a similar application has already been refused by Havering Council at the beginning of September for an education centre at the same premises.
