Havering Council has given prior approval to developer Turnkey Contracting Ltd to convert the upper floors of Tollgate House, in Market Place, from office space into nine flats. Prior approval is used to determine if permission is required for developments where a formal planning application is not needed. The application follows on from prior approval previously being granted in November 2023 for the same number of homes. However, the planning officer's report concluded that there were no "adverse impacts" from the development in terms of loss of privacy, and that the repairs are not required for the approval.
