Myron Eygene Rhodes, “Gene the Pumpkin Man,” and his farm were a heavily visited attraction every fall, and since his passing, people have been wondering what is next for Gene the Pumpkin Man’s farm, located at 22637 M–43 in Kalamazoo. We are so excited to share that we are officially the new owners of Gene The Pumpkin Man’s farm. We are Steele and Sadie Evans, Gene's great nephew and niece-in-law, the fourth generation to farm this land. After much prayer and reflection, we have decided to take on a new name for the business, Evans Acres Family Farm. They understand that his former farm holds many memories not only for their family but also for the community.
