Monatna Trout Unlimited had quite a few folks reach out, and here is what is really going on. Apparently, they were driving through the river without the proper permits — not exactly the textbook way to treat a Montana waterway. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (@montanafwp) is currently investigating the incident and looking into possible citations. If you ever spot activity that seems fishy (and not the trout kind), report it to FWP or your local Conservation District.
