Thomas Cole, of Cowslip Gardens, was found to have the weapon in Racecourse Road, Pershore. The 27-year-old pleaded guilty to one charge of possessing an offensive weapon on December 6 last year. Magistrates said the offence was so serious only a custodial sentence could be justified. He was also given a drug rehabilitation order and instructed to complete 26 rehabilitation activity days.
