Maybe one reason I’ve been drawn to a career in long-term care is the pixel-perfect reflection it provides of my own life. A quick review yielded a thunderbolt epiphany: This same advice could really, really, really have helped me more safely weather the loss of my very first girlfriend. So, bottom line, the next time my ground is shaking from another relationship challenge, I’ll be referring to that handy long-term care poster.
