And the thing that The Intel Trinity really makes clear is that these were some unbelievably brilliant people who came together to found this company and really a lot of the companies of the early computing industry, people who were not just entrepreneurs or great business people, but in some cases, some of the best scientific minds of the time, which in some way sort of stands in contrast to the way that we think about start-ups and technology companies today. But the book also does a nice job of illustrating the importance of government research, and also just the importance of hobbyists and people coming together just out of interest in technology, and how that can further technologies, create open standards, and really set the groundwork for what we now know as the computing industry.
