And so what we’ve done as we’ve modified things like penicillin is we’ve enormously increased the probability that a mother will survive childbirth, that a child won’t die of a scraped, knee, that a soldier will be able to survive battlefield wounds, that all kinds of modern surgery can take place. But the key to this thing is as we move into a world where robots will take over yet another swath of people, as we move into an era where artificial intelligence will take out a swath of people, continuing to educate people in creative endeavors and things that are very difficult for machines to do becomes absolutely essential.
