We’re much more likely to not ask enough questions than we are to ask too many questions, or to ask the wrong question. SARAH GREEN CARMICHAEL: Well it’s interesting because earlier, Francesca, you had mentioned something, like, if you think back to the conversations you found most enjoyable, they’re probably ones where people asked you questions, I think probably– I’m just speculating here– but a lot of people probably don’t put two and two together and they don’t quite realize. One reason is that you really are egocentric and don’t even think to ask questions about someone else, but the other possibility is that you realize that you could ask questions, but you’re not sure what the right question to ask might be, and you’re worried that one question might reveal your incompetence.
