Mike Ovitz co-founded Creative Artists Agency in 1975, a company that managed clients in the movie, tv, music, and book businesses. We came up with the thesis that we would create jobs or that we would take the dreams of our clients and try to put them together by packaging them with disparate elements from around our list, or taking from other people’s list, to try to put the projects together and create work for people rather than just wait to try to assign clients to jobs.
