Really, as we studied the history of job descriptions and how they got their start, they’ve really evolved to be legal documents, documents to protect employers on the hiring and firing decisions, but they’re not actually really marketing tools so that someone really understands what they’ll be doing in the role or frankly that the manager really understands what exactly is the day-to-day and week-to-week work that I need a successful employee in this role doing so that we can be successful on our team.
